The City Patterns Collection - Creative Idea, Photography, Editorial
This urban collection of photographic books, attempts to visually document some of the most popular cities on the planet. The idea behind this project is to try to discover the essence of those cities that has not been previously analysed and that makes us see the city from a completely different perspective.
Mass tourism, general media, internet, social networks, influencer culture, and life in the "global village" make it very difficult for us to be genuinely surprised when we visit a new place, because many times we have already seen thousands of times everything we should discover before the trip itself.
In this work, I try to reflect on the need not to travel as consumers of a product that has already been thought up for us. And how nice it would be to try to make the cities we travel to, in a way, our own. Currently I’ve fully developed NY and I’m working already in Barcelona.
